Rudee Inlet Stand Up Paddle is a company that takes people out on adventures, reservations only, on stand up paddle boards. We take very seriously the idea of keeping it real, and completely catering to our clients!!
We teach newbies, we have a blast with families, and we take the sport of stand up paddle to new levels for those looking to go deeper!!
It is real simple what we offer:
We give a 10 minute lesson on proper paddle technique and safety to EVERYONE! We then launch on our knees and go out in deep water only!! DONT EVER LET SOMEONE TAKE YOU PADDLING IN SHALLOW WATER, PERIOD!! We practice our stroke, then we stand and go on an adventure!!
We can stay on the flat water on the protected, calm waters of Rudee Inlet. We have a nest of bald eagles right on the inlet and stand a good chance of getting a look at some!! This is called our Bald Eagle Tour and if you want the best for beginners this is the one!! It is also awesome for all levels as we don’t have to stay in tight group, you are allowed independence on tours, no hand holding….
We also do a bit of yoga on almost every tour. I call it Rock Star Yoga, as we just do a few poses to get cool pictures and to be able to say you have done it! Or you can reach out via text at 757 343 3560 and set up an event out with a certified yoga instructor!!! Some people prefer what I call Yoga style stretching…you go with me leading and we just play and have fun and do poses and get pictures and enjoy the sunset!!
By the way, we take pictures on every tour for no additional charge, and you can see these daily on Rudee Inlet Stand Up Paddle on facebook!!
The ocean is the final frontier! We take the most adventurous out for a scenic and exciting paddle along the ocean front to see what we can see. Dolphins, eagles, osprey, sea turtles, occasional whale sightings (go to October 29 2017 on fb)… This tour as all of our adventures require no experience. We have taught around 8000 people to paddleboard and we can teach you quick and safely!!
e are feeling froggy we can learn a little about gliding on the ocean swells.. Surfing the energy of the ocean without going into the breaking waves all the way. This is called Surf Sup and is my personal passion!!

What do we need?
Bathing Suit, flip flops, maybe a had and or glasses.
What is age limit?
We love kids and any kids over 3 can come but you must communicate ahead of time for any children under 10 years old, which is the cutoff age for their own board. (kids on my board or mikes board normally have the best time of all, while the parents enjoy their own bad selves)
Weather issues?
I say schedule your adventure early in your vacation so if we have weather issues, we can reschedule. One thing for sure, we will never keep your money if we cannot make a trip happen around the weather…full refund!!
Parking?
There is always parking available. If it is mayhem there is always parking 1 block away on Terrace avenue, the sign says no parking but the small print says between 8 pm and 6 am!!
